Our reliable data helps you reduce time and save money. With the highest 3D scanning resolution capability in the UK and a wealth of experience across multiple sectors, our fully-trained application team can capture data in precise detail for single and multi-part assemblies.
What we do
Capture the full surface geometry of a physical object for research and development, product design and manufacture, quality inspection, stress and performance analysis and competitor bench-marking.
Deliver 3D scan data and analysis for industrial components up to 2m x 2m2 in size, providing efficient quality control in the production process and a vital insight into manufacturing stability.
Use GOM ATOS metrology systems to ensure all data captured is traceable back to international dimensional standards. By keeping our data capture and inspection all within one piece of software, get truly accurate 3D inspection results.
Our experienced designers then use cutting edge Computer Aided Design (CAD) software packages to create, design and manipulate 2D and 3D digital models of the physical objects ready for analysis, design optimisation or manufacture.

Case Study
Reverse engineering legacy parts
Trescal assists clients with the reproduction of a legacy part that was required to be remodelled for one of their boats. The CAD models and drawings no longer existed for the part and our 3D scanning and reverse engineering services provided a time-efficient and cost-effective solution to have this part remanufactured.
What is Hybrid Modelling?
Reverse Engineering (RE) complex freeform surfaces along with geometric shapes has always been a challenge to design engineers. At Trescal we are able to overcome these traditional difficulties to deliver fast, accurate and high-quality CAD models by combining traditional CAD modelling techniques with NURBS Modelling.
